The original and principle task of all State Studs is to make available to the state´s breeding high quality and performance tested sires at a reasonable fee.

Consequently this is the most important duty of the Northrhine-Westphalian State Stud. In order to fulfil this duty, the State Stud buys young stallions aged two and a half or three mainly at Northrhine-Westphalian licensing places, but also at other gradings.
